Corrections and legal notices
Last updated Oct 26, 2026
We want every entry to be accurate and fair. If something is wrong, outdated or missing context, tell us.
How to send a correction or legal notice
Email [email protected] with a subject line starting “Legal/Correction:”. Please include the page link, what is wrong, and a source or document that shows the correct information (for example a court order, Tarion notice, builder notice or news report).
What happens next
- We acknowledge your message within 1 business day.
- We correct or annotate the page within 3 days. If we need more time to verify, we add a note to the page saying the information is under review.
- Every correction is dated and logged on Recent changes and in the project’s timeline.
Builders’ right of reply
If you are a builder, developer or other party named on a page, you may send a short response. We will add it to the relevant project page, or reflect it in the summary, alongside the sourced information.
Court filings
Many entries rely on court filings, such as receivership applications and affidavits. Statements in those filings are allegations unless a court has decided them, and we word them that way (“according to the filing”). A court order, such as an order appointing a receiver, is reported as a decision of the court.
What we don’t do
We don’t remove accurately sourced information simply because it is unwelcome, and we don’t accept payment to change, remove or delay any entry. See our sponsorship policy.
